Our fall session begins September 2nd.
When you are part of Co-op, you are connected to a community of people who understand the joys and challenges of raising young children. Each week, we explore topics that support caregivers in areas such as child development, parenting approaches, and family life. We also offer books and handouts that address common questions, including language development, emotional regulation, toileting, and typical stages of growth. Topics are guided by the interests and questions of the families in each group.
Peer support is a meaningful part of the Co-op experience. While parenting advice can always be found online, there is something special about connecting with real people who are navigating similar experiences. Families often bring valuable insight and encouragement, and both formal and informal conversations become a rich source of learning and support.
We believe parents are children's first and most important teachers so we help kids by helping parents. Children acquire skills and abilities from the people they spend the most time with. Parents and other primary caregivers leave a profound, life-long impact on the children they have cared for. Despite the significance of this commitment, modern society doesn’t typically offer educational opportunities or supportive communities for parents.
