Class Jobs

Each day, we have four class jobs. That means each parent will have a class job about once per month. These should not take much time but they do help the Co-op community immensely! You'll know your schedule ahead of time so no worries about surprise responsibilities. You can always change your schedule or swap jobs.

Sharing class jobs cuts down on the costs of running Co-op and gives parents a chance to share their ideas. We are always amazed the amazing ideas and activities that families bring. The Co-op kids are so lucky to have you!

Playdough with toothpicks and cereal

Help set up or clean up the fine motor area.

You can bring your own ideas or use any of our fine motor materials.

Divided plate with cucumber, strawberry, guacamole, crackers, and string cheese

Bring a healthy snack for the class and prep it into bowls. We have a whole kitchen to use, so you can prepare something there or bring something that is ready. We also have plates, spoons, knives, cups etc.

Child's hands painting with a sponge on paper

Bring an idea for art. We have many materials available in the art cabinet to use. We can help pull materials if you need help finding anything. Wondering if we have something? Just ask!

When to Help

We utilize the When to Help website to coordinate class jobs. Current co-op families will receive login information in September. The first couple of weeks of class jobs are already set, so no worries if it is your first day! And if you are enrolling in Co-op late, don't worry - you don't have a class job on your first day! It takes time to adjust to the rhythm of the class before adding in anything extra.
